You love your partner and you know your relationship could be stronger. You want to get back to your relationship that felt fun, secure, and connected. Right now, you might feel misunderstood and like you just keep missing each other.

Strong relationships are built. Seeking couples therapy isn’t a sign of failure, it’s a sign of commitment and love for each other.

It is my joy to work with couples. I want to help you both co-create a fulfilling relationship and experience lasting change. My goal is to help both build a relationship that thrives, not just provide you with at temporary fix.

When you work with me, you can trust you have at therapist who genuinely cares for you and your relationship’s wellness.

With a special appreciation for LGBTQ+, Gen-Z/Millennial couples, I work with couples from all walks of life who are invested in their relationship and want to grow together, feel like a team, and deepen their connection.

Together we will work to…

  • Gain insight into the patterns of your relationship.

  • Communicate effectively in ways that lead to connection.

  • Navigate conflict in way that brings you closer.

  • Strengthen emotional safety.

  • Address and heal unresolved wounds.

  • Work to build rituals of connection to deepen your friendship and intimacy.

How I Help…

My approach is active, relational and grounded in my professional trainings.

The Gottman Method:

Developed from decades of research, the Gottman Method offers couples ways to strengthen communication, manage conflict, and deepen emotional intimacy.

In a nutshell, Gottman Method helps to:

  • Communicate in ways that decreases reactivity and helps us feel heard and understood

  • Build emotional connection and friendship

  • Navigate conflict fairly without damaging the relationship

Relational Life Therapy (RLT):

RLT, developed by Terry Real, goes in to the deeper roots of disconnection. It’s a trauma-informed approach that allows us to address core issues head on with compassion and clarity so that both partners feel empowered.

In a nutshell, RLT help to:

  • Develop accountability and empathy

  • Reclaim emotional honesty

  • Uncover and move beyond the relationship’s dysfunctional cycle

Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP):

As a CSTIP, trained by Dr. Tammy Nelson, I support couples navigating issues related to their sex and intimacy. Sex is a key part of couples dynamics that often goes overlooked in couples therapy, and my training helps me to hold this area with the importance is deserves. I support couples who experience:

  • Desire discrepancies

  • A diminished sexual relationship

  • Sexual shame

  • Difficulty communicating about sex, desires, and needs

We Might Be a Fit If…

  • You’re both committed to the relationship and want to work on it together.

  • You’re willing to look inward and be personally accountable for your role, not just focus on what the other is doing wrong in your eyes.

  • You’re open to new ways of communicating, even if it feels unnatural at first.

  • You’re open to direct feedback (bolstered with rapport and care), even when it’s challenging.

  • You’re curious about the deeper dynamics that drive disconnection in your relationship.

  • You understand that therapy is a process, change takes time, and the real work happens at home when you’re applying what we work on in sessions.

We Might Not Be a Fit If…

  • You’re in couples therapy to “fix” your partner.

  • You don’t want to process how your past influences the way you show up relationally.

  • You both have conflicting goals for couples therapy.

  • One or both of you is unsure if they want to work on the relationship (this is a better fit for a Discernment Counseling model).
